Amazon just rolled out a new feature for U.S. Prime members called Add to Delivery, and it’s one of those small but super handy updates. The idea is simple: if you forgot to add something to your cart, you can now throw it into an order that’s already been placed but hasn’t shipped yet — no need to start a whole new checkout.
Right now, the feature only works in the Amazon app and on the mobile version of Amazon.com, and it applies to select items like electronics, clothes, books, and groceries.
Some Prime members have been testing Add to Delivery for a while, but Amazon is finally rolling it out to everyone. Figuring out if an item qualifies is easy — if it can be added to a package that’s arriving later today or tomorrow, you’ll see a new blue Add to delivery button right under the classic yellow Add to cart button. Tap it, and the item instantly joins your next delivery. Changed your mind? There’s a quick undo option too.
According to Amazon, the goal is to make shopping a bit more natural — “how people actually shop: one need at a time, as they arise.” And honestly, it’s perfect for those of us who always remember something important right after hitting Place Order. The best part? No extra shipping fees — as long as you’re a Prime member, which still costs $14.99 a month or $139 a year.
